Build San Antonio Green™

Build San Antonio Green® (BSAG) is San Antonio’s residential Green Building Program.  The program was developed specifically for San Antonio and focuses on five areas: Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Site, Health, and Materials.

Build San Antonio Green® is not only our community’s local green building program, it includes and encourages the UDC Neighborhood Patterns, SAWS Rebates and Landscape List, San Antonio Landscape Care Guide, CPS Energy Rebates and Net Metering Program, and The City of San Antonio’s Tree Protection Ordinance.

BSAG is co-administered with the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA). GSABA has recognized the importance of building green, and in 2002 came together with BSAG to create the Build San Antonio Green™ program in order to certify homes as being built green.  BSAG and GSABA are committed to educating the builder and homeowner about the importance of building green, and the benefits associated with it.

Build San Antonio Green™ works with our Partners to develop and implement energy and emissions reduction policies for air quality improvement, water conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Build San Antonio Green™ provides technical workshops on energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy and green building, certifying Green-Built Homes in San Antonio.
