The Metropolitan Partnership for Energy (MPE) is an official Partnership of:

• City of San Antonio
• CPS Energy
• San Antonio Water System
• VIA Metropolitan Transit
• Alamo Area Council of Governments
• Greater San Antonio Builders Association
  
• Greater Bexar County Council of Cities
• Solar San Antonio.

MPE’s main program is Build San Antonio Green™ (BSAG), San Antonio’s residential Green Building Program, co-administered with the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA). GSABA has recognized the importance of building green, and in 2002 came together with MPE to create the Build San Antonio Green™ program in order to certify homes as being built green.  MPE and GSABA are committed to educating the builder and homeowner about the importance of building green, and the benefits associated with it.

MPE works with our Partners to develop and implement energy and emissions reduction policies for air quality improvement, water conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. MPE provides technical workshops on energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy and green building, while promoting the Build San Antonio Green™ program and certifying Green-Built Homes in San Antonio.
